Sindhudurg is a quarter in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. It’s framed by the Arabian Sea to the west, Ratnagiri quarter to the north, Thane and Raigad sections to the east, and the state of Goa to the south. The name Sindhudurg is deduced from the expression” Sindhu Durg,” meaning” fort of the ocean,” as the region is girdled by the Arabian Sea on three sides. The major metropolises in this quarter are Kudal, Sawantwadi, Vengurla, and Malvan.
Kudal is the headquarters of the quarter and is known for its major castles, tabernacles, and strands.
