Nandgaon is a small coastal town in Murud taluka of Raigad district which is famous for its Siddhivinayak Ganesh Temple. The Ganpati of Nandgaon is mentioned as ‘Ballal Murud Vinayak Aham’ in Puranas. Earlier this village was known as ‘Nandigram’. The distance from Mumbai to Nandgaon is 136 kilometers and from Pune, it is 184 kilometers. The Konkan coasts have some of the finest beaches in the country. The finest beach is of Nandgaon which is still fairly unknown.
It has virgin, pristine golden sands with clear blue water where one can sunbathe in seclusion without disturbing the locals. For the more adventurous you can have a Banana boat or Aqua scooter ride or a long ride in the sea. Through the beach is relatively safe for swimming, one is advised not to go too deep into the sea.
